Established in the year 2000, Farm’s Pride (Pvt.) Ltd is the largest of the five subsidiaries and functions as the central point of operations. Listed under this Company are: Pupuressa Broiler Farm, Processing Plant, Contract Grower’s Operations (North Central, Central, Uva & East), Head Office and lastly the Marketing & Sales divisions.
Midland breeders was incorporated in 1995, and as the name suggests this Company manages all breeder operations starting from receiving fertile eggs from Fortune GP to dispatching fertile eggs into our broiler farms. Clustered under Midland Breeder is the Nawalapitiya Hatchery, Paragala and Nawalapitiya farms and the Fairline layer farm at Dolosbage.
Established in 2010, Wayamba Development only includes the Galgamuwa Broiler Farm: found on 64 acres in the Galgamuwa region. A significant proportion of broiler of approximately 400,000 are reared here. There are 8 closed house cages with the capacity of 300,000 birds at a time.
Established in 2003, and with two separate locations: one in Kantale and Mahiyanganaya, Golden Grains is the first Company in Sri Lanka to introduce corn silage bales to Sri Lanka, and cultivates corn in a land mass of 850 acres for corn silage production. The Kanthale location spanning 1200 acres and only having used 850 acres for seed paddy cultivation remains to cultivate seed paddy for sale to external customers.
A joint venture project with an investment of US12 million was incorporated in 2016 by CRYSBRO Group of Companies and Bairaha Farms PLC to integrate poultry feed production. Fortune Agro Industries boasts of a sophisticated Buhler Feed Mill which produces poultry feed of very high quality and is also anti-biotic free.
Fortune G-P Farms (PVT) Ltd., is a Rs 100 million project and a joint venture between Bairaha Farms PLC, Farms pride (PVT) LTD and Cobb-Vantress Inc USA. The company has established in 2006 in a remote 100-acre isolated piece of land off Galewela; and in a separate, 10-acre piece of land, a state-of-the-art hatchery at Dambulla.
