Way back in 1972, our founder, Mohamed Imtiaz had a vision to create the ultimate culinary experience in chicken, offering the finest in taste and nourishment while emphasizing absolute convenience. Today, this vision has been realised, as we stand tall as Sri Lanka’s only ‘Chicken Specialist’, with CRYSBRO chicken enjoying an unrivalled reputation for quality, freshness innovation in breeding, processing and packaging.
Our founder had the wisdom to set up his farm on lush virgin land, blessed with fresh and clean climes amidst the misty mountains of the Central Highlands. Chicken raised in such a salubrious environment are tender, succulent and naturally taste much better. The confidence and approval thus won from the consumers helped lay the foundation for the ensuing meticulous expansions of Crysbro to forge ahead, preserving its market leadership over the years.
Mohamed Imtiaz also believes that ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. This belief is of paramount importance at CRYSBRO. We never compromise on this principle and it is truly reflected in everything we do.
Hence it is no wonder that consumers are of the firm opinion that Crysbro tops the list in every sphere of a Customer’s needs – Tastiness , Healthiness, Cleanliness and Real Value for Money .

Uplifting the lives of the farming community
Our farm lands are located in Dehiyattakandiya, Girandurukotte and Kantalai, where we carry out large-scale cultivation of maize, rice soya and other grains, which form the basic ingredients of chicken feed. In addition to direct employment for farmers on our own land, through year-round crop rotation, we also purchase grain from farming families in these regions, thereby offering a steady income and uplifting their lives.
Ensuring the very best feed for our chicken
Our Feed Mill Plant is located at weerambugedara, Kurunegala, where the harvested grains are turned into chicken feed. This is Sri Lanka's largest and most modern livestock feed plant to date, requiring 120,000 tons of corn each year as input. This requires the cultivation of 60,000 acres of corn, which is also out-sourced from the farmers living in the Wayamba province. The processed feed is stored in our own silos under stringent hygienic conditions.
